Yes, there are more layoffs. yes we were informed and have seen this coming and have been directly told to be prepared. Stuff happens and although it may suck, there is no need to hate. I am shocked at some of the People who have posted, "you suckers who stayed, good luck bitches! It is very sad when people are that ignorant and hatefull cruel without provocation. I want to wish everyone the best of luck from here forward. It has been an honor to work beside most of you. Thanks for the ride!

That includes students and those in the "higher" positions. People like JR at CS always believed they were the reason for the success of those who achieved more but refused to take blame for the poor showing of others. People tried to please or appease jackasses like that but only got condescending attitude in response. Too many common sense approaches that worked were constantly belittled by those who only tried to make themselves appear better than they are/were. This organization has reaped what they've sown. While trying to remain above the petty "good riddance" and "I told you so" (because some of us DID tell them), it is nice to see that we were right all along and, forgive me, I am glad to see this happen. I only wish the employees who worked and believed in better find better opportunities (they are out there) while those who ran these schools into the ground (CS "leaders" and campus presidents - most are idiots save the BMC Canton [wonder guy}) suffer the same "pain" they inflicted on others.
Yes, well said. There are a lot of disgruntled students posting on these threads and that's where the negativity is coming from.
I worked in Career Services before being laid off today. I can honestly say that I did everything in my power to help my graduates. I had the pleasure of working with many others who did the same. I refuse to let the negative options of students/grads belittle the work that I did. I hope they all behave more appropriately on job interviews.

So, it has been an honor serving with these people = honor among thieves. However, I bet you won't mention that you worked for EDMC in casual conversation with strangers. I guarantee that at some point you will meet people that your beloved company has screwed over in the past. They will have some very strong words for you and the massive fraud that you helped to perpetuate. The truth is out of the box now and people know who EDMC is, who the schools are, and what they did.
If not, I dare you to put a bumper sticker on your car that says "Proud employee of EDMC" and see what happens. There is a reason that there is hate- because this wasn't fraud and looking the other way for a few students. This was a nation-wide misrepresentation of legitimacy in order to entrap the maximum number of students into massive debt that has and will destroy many of their lives. This is the destruction of the higher ed in our country for the profit of investors over students.
The hate comes from the fact that those still there are in a state of denial or else just don't care. they don't care because the money blinds them or facing the truth is too hard for them. Do I hate thieves, robbers, and liars? Why YES! YES I DO!
