Hey @6dfd, what do you need another degree for ehen you are only 2 years away from retirement at age 60? I think Chevron would serve itself and the rest of its employees best in changing the rules about its paid education program. It should disqualify anyone over 55 in participating in the program.

The program is suppose to be similar to the regular continuing education benefit. It is limited to $5,000 reimbursement at 75% rate. And the program has to be completed in 2 1/2 years. I hope to get another degree at UH just for fun. I have 2 years to fill before I can get my lump sum and 401k dollars.
Is it still 7,500. I got my P.E. from the benefit this winter. It is a nice perk. Got me a job! Set up perfectly for a professional license.
