It's kind of academic at this point because the 5G bandwidth has not been formally allocated.

5G is a next Big Bang !! Let's not be complacent & snobbish

Many are working with developing 5G from phy layer itself. So let's keep our eyes & ears open

Too much and cheaper competition will make Currycomm continue to lose market share.

Not true! The radio is different and for QCOM stock to be impacted, we need to wait until 2020 and beyond because that's when the product is planned to be out. Frankly doubt it if 5G will be any savior. Competition is much harder than at the time of 4G when Q got market share by combining 3G and 4G technologies in the same chipset. Remember Q dominance was because of 3G licensing, but that one is vanishing one way or the other.

Korean and chineses are getting more alert in mobile communication. Europeans are always very strong. and not to mention new American competitor, Intel which did not even exist at the of 3G /4G.

I don't see any other solution for Q than finding new areas than mobile chipset. Q needs a strong visionary as the CEO.
