Contrary to multiple previous posts, there are a number of roles that are still untouched by today's layoffs. DOA (Directors of Admissions). ADR (Readmissions). Housing, other support staff etc. For those of us not let go, should we anticipate further action tomorrow or should we hold our breath til next month? Every week it's a new, piss poor process that is creating more work than necessary and the trainer's are friggin terrible. Honestly who were the lucky ones today? Cuz I don't feel like I was one of them.

Are you saying cs is expected to layoff or more campus positions may be laid off?
I feel terrible for the ones that were let go, I knew them all at our location and consider many of them as friends. I also wonder the same thing, those of us that are still here get stuck with the bag once again. Put on your waders, the job requirements are going to go through the roof. I personally have been job hunting for the last five months, but the job market can be challenging. Unfortunately, with the lack of ANY development opportunities within EDMC I am lacking in certain sought after skills, I do not blame anyone for that other than myself, I have been here a long time and should have done these things on my own, live and learn. It still amazes me that before yesterday everyone seemed to have blinders on to the writing on the wall, many of us knew that it would happen, do to this site and some common sense, the number keep going down, what did you think was going to happen? The "leaders" need to get their high paychecks and how did you think that would happen? There is no longer any concern for people or students, it is simply how are we going to get the last dollar we can.
I feel the same way. I liked my job a lot before all of these new requirements came down from the "consent to judgement". Been applying for many jobs but then interviewing is tough. My manager micromanages and interrogates us on PTO use every time. I don't want to give the company or my boss reason to fire me but being laid off would rip the bandage off and I could get severance. I am also dreading what else they will add to our plate. If it wasn't for home finances and the fact I love working with my students, I would be gone.
I heard from a source in CS that year end layoffs are happening Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. All brands.
Why would you work at a company that has no loyalty to staff OR students?
There are so many industries out there that have better opportunities. Hell, look into being a staffer for a trucking company.
Wow. So Tampa lost 1 PC and 2 ADA's. I was told that was all...but I don't believe it. I think there is more in store for today. Tampa's Finance Director had left on her own, so I guess that solved that.
Housing was impacted as I was RIF i.e. laid off as well as the student employment advisor
What about the academic side? Any lay-offs at the Ai schools?
It's based on the campus, but Ai Atlanta lost the Dean of SA, Dir. Of Fin., almost all PC's, Bookstore Mgr. And there is more to come between today and tomorrow.
Hahaha
If you feel so unlucky to still have job you should quit.
