..........what????? You're being let go by a company that has come under fire by the way it has defrauded billions in federal student loan money from people, these people you worked for are STEALING from the general public, and you think they're just going to hand over 40k for grad school? Take out 50 loans from navient and f---ing join the rest of us.

If you're in a grad program run by EDMC, run! Most that I know that tried to use their EDMC based grad degrees (mostly Argosy PhD) have had issues with employers or even other grad programs taking them seriously. If it's not an EDMC run grad program and regionally accredited, go for a Grad plus loan to finish.

A friend who was laid off had a husband in classes. They said the tuition for his classes he was currently in would be included in tuition benefits but not after that quarter.

wooooooo.... oh man, stop. I have been laughing for 5 straight minutes like the chewbacca lady. Seriously- trouble with tuition costs??? The irony is too f---ing much!

Take out a loan with Navient! Why not! won't have to start paying until after you graduate and you are 90% guaranteed to get a better job in whatever you want to do - come one you know this by now!

Unless, oh wait... that part was made up? Nevermind.

Telling ya -- after selling people's futures and getting them to take out loans for bad edu, you now are having trouble affording your own edu? This is just too much - thanks for the good laugh!

We have to pay imputed income back to company, therefore you will owe the school up to what you have already been credited. make sure you send in final grade documentation as well to edcor. As I've been told by HR, is that you will either have the amount deducted from your severance or it will be billed during the pay back schedule in Aug. I too am in the grad program. If you get updates, please share them on this site! Good luck!

The credits will not transfer, remember it's a private school (curriculum is different) and up to receiving institution. I was laid off last year at one of the schools that closed. Tuition assistance was part of our severance. If it changed, you may want to apply for another position to stay working there to finish school.

In a word, nope - especially if you are in the middle of your program.

If you were almost done, then, well, uh, - they still would not pay for it - especially now.

Just be glad it was paid up through this point. Maybe the credits will transfer.

Good luck to you.
