Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Wearables may replace smartphones soon new report says.... http://gadgetsandwearables.com/2016/06/22/wearables-smartphones/

"Looking at the next 5 years and beyond, the Ericsson report says people believe that ingestible pills and chips under the skin will be commonly used – not only to track vital health data, but also to unlock doors, authenticate transactions and identity, and to control objects."

This sounds a bit creepy but it could be the answer to my inability to keep track of my keys.

Re: Kodak

This is a well known pattern in business. It was discussed in the "innovators dilemma" - a book from a Harvard professor. There are several example ranging from construction business to high technology.

This is basic business 101.

Everyone in business school has studied this expect for the clowns running Intel.

Kodak pioneered digital photography but actively suppressed the technology in order to keep their high margins in film for as long as they could. In the end no one company controls the photography market the way Kodak did. Sound familiar?

But they will sell billions and be sold from pennies to a few dollars so intel won't partake in that manufacturing bonanza.

The access point will still be a phone sized device with ARM, a modem with ARM, to a back office cloud driven by ARM. See the problem intel.... LOL

Gee. I don't know if I can trust what people believe the future is going to be. People believe a lot will happen but if the next question is would you want to be part of it? The answer may not be always yes E.g. people might believe that machines will replace all our work. But do they want that to happen? Gulping a pill , to me, is creepy from a security point of view.

16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. Revelation 13:16-17

9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” Revelation 14:9-11
