Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Check or Direct deposit

I am hearing that people are receiving their checks thru the mail and some direct deposit. For those who received it direct deposit did you fill out a new direct deposit form after the layoff. The form that was in the packet?

Yes, fill out the form that was in the layoff package and email it and copy of cancelled check to "payroll@chevron.com". I figure the direct deposit will come before a check gets mailed and deposited at the bank. Not sure of how soon this has to be done before the checks are issued. I sent mine in last week.

I'm not sure about the timing needed to set up direct deposit, but for the longest time, Chevron has always paid the severances by check only. I supposed they are old school about this and like to have a cancelled check with your signature on the back. I would guess it's just another way of proving you accepting it.

Sent out the Direct Deposit form by fax today for Severance. Not sure if I submitted it in a timely manner to receive Direct Deposit.

Final paychecks were direct deposit. Severance came as a check.

Yes, you need to return the direct deposit form. If you did not you'll probably get a paper check for your last pay period.

Yes, I returned the form and got my money directly deposited. I believe you have to wait until after your official last day.
