It is not a troll telling how difficult is to find a job when you are old, regardless of your experience. I am working with LHH. After reviewing my resume, they specifically told me to remove the dates when I got my degrees and dates of jobs before Intel. This way potential employers reviewing my resume cannot guess my age. And I am in my early 50s.

This must be a troll to tell everybody how difficult it is to find a good job outside Intel. But sorry there are much better jobs outside and again any job that pays for your bills and help take care of your loved ones is a good job. Nobody these days care where they money is coming from. But if you are telling a truth then don't feel bad about it, I m sure life at Walmart will be a lot better and respectful than Intel.
Lucky you got a job. 22 years in software and have not received a call from any of the Walmart-like jobs I have applied for.
