So you say you got through all the layoffs for 16 years? Don't be so smug and over confident. Wait 4 more years until you have been there 20 years and you get laid off...that's the magic number......I can't even tell you how many managers with 20 years get laid off, and very good managers at that!
Its all what you make of it - i have made it through many layoffs in my 16 years and each time i have been lucky to have gotten a new job because i am willing to try something new and keep an open mind - i dont take it personal...i choose to do my job well and i dont believe in "milking it" as someone stated on here...and when my number is up and there are no jobs for me i will go peacefully and thankful for the time i had with good pay ans benefits... I wish more people had my attitude it would make our workplace a better atmosphere like the old days...
