It will be fun watching the company try to transition from ancient, totally inadequate technology to modern, useful technology without breaking everything. Fun in the sense that a colossal train wreck is fun. This is what happens when you execs pay themselves unearned bonuses by duct taping existing systems instead of wisely investing in upgraded, proven technology all along the way.

Couldn't agree more. This labor saving, in reality could have been covered by perpetual inventory, several years back, like in the 2000s. Ten years ago, you could go to Best Buy's website and determine whether your local had the SKU you wanted in stock (or not). A few less ECs, RVPs & RP and we could have contracted this out to the professionals, instead our own arrogance and leaders lining their own pocket, we developed Irma, Smore & Store Ops. The only half way decent programs we use are Workday, Microstrategy and PeopleSoft and the thing they have in common, all designed by someone else. Our current structure is broken and our leaders should be taking a hard look at themselves, our Shareholders are.

WFM is so far behind in this regard. There is no excuse for it either. They could have been at the forefront had leadership been far more proactive and prescient and far less arrogant and lazy. Instead, they squandered all their advantages and allowed competitors to overtake and outdo them. Now they are pitifully trying to play catch up. Unfortunately, it's the team members who pay the price for this lack of good leadership.

Sorry Jason, had you come maybe ten years ago things may have been saved. Maybe.
