RIF today here in Alameda and it was bloody...which means it affected people close to me. Everyone that was working from home greater than 3x per week was let go.

WFH doesn't matter. Bottom line is that WRS was mismanaged by its senior management and Intel. It used to have a stranglehold on the embedded space but they pissed that away.
Jerry Fiddler must be very disappointed in the new WRS.
There are VPs who work from home since they are not near a intel site and they are still around.
I guess there is a different standard for them.
Wind river BK'd.
If McCabe did that, he is a fool.
All I know is that there is incredible hostility, bitterness and resentment toward Intel at WRS. A senior manager, Mychal McCabe called them out on social media and got pummeled for it. He isn't the only one that feels that way. The over-45 year old employees here are terrified.
Ignore them. They are just folks who never could take advantage of WFH because they were stuck in a factory job.
As long as the work gets done and on time I wouldn't care where the fck you did the work.
It was just another bogus criteria that BK and HR pulled out of their assto get a number. This is all about HC reduction. Plain and simple. If they said why then the stock would be under 10 a share.
I disagree. Some of the most productive engineers I know at WRS work from home offices some or all of the time. Maybe things are different at Intel proper.
Working from home is the biggest boondoggle in tech. Fcuk those people.
BK'd never knew what Wind brought to the company right up there with security and FPGA, LOL
Sorry. Paid vacation is over.
Working from home is BS. Good riddance.
