Most of the people posting on this page are probably overpaid for what they REALLY do!!! No solutions, just b*tching...while you probably get paid $100-$200k per year with a GED!! You are the problem!!! Most Mangers don't make that even though they spent tens of thousands of dollars to go to college. If you want their position and want to deal with their stress and make terrible money...then step up...otherwise you are part of the problem. Are too shallow to realize is that while numerous employees have been let go (which NO ONE ever wants to have to do)...it was (and still is) an attempt to try to save YOUR job!! Keep that in mind the next time you see someone walked out or let go..............

What you all SHOULD be saying is, I am THANKFUL to STILL be employed and HAVE INSURANCE for myself and my or MY FAMILY.

The oil industry overall pays more than many other industries. Unless there is collective bargaining, market demand and supply (at the time of hire) determines compensation. In my view, nobody is being taken advantage of, and education level is irrelevant. By the way, in the absence of an employment contract one can resign or be let go without obligation to either party. Help me understand why you are dissatisfied.

Our managers were joking and laughing right after they let people go. They don't care.
Now now girls. If it wasn't for the design engineers we wouldn't have a product to build. If it wasn't for the machinists we wouldn't have the parts and if it wasn't for the Assembly teams (those that aren't sleeping anyway) the product wouldn't be built. If it wasn't for the sales team we wouldn't have customers and if it wasn't for the purchasing team we wouldn't have the parts we can't build ourselves. If it wasn't................get the drift? We are meant to be a team. We are meant to work with each other, not against one another. We are to go forth and multiply. We are......sorry, I was getting carried away.
