Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Funny How $hit Comes Around

There was an ops mgr years ago in Lafayette who was sent there to dissolve the western assets and shut down the office. He didn't do that because he felt like there was a great deal of opportunity left in the aging western assets and that there were good folks left to operate them. He got his a$$ handed to him by his supervisor during pmp for not doing what he was told. He shortly thereafter resigned from the company (Mid career ops manager resigned). Chevron did a great job of sweeping that embarrassing departure under the rug. Fast forward 7 years. That former ops manager is now a managing director at BCG. Let's see who gets their asshanded to them this time. Karma is a bitch.

OP, the young Ops manager didn't leave because of a bad PMP, it was because of a sick relative. Quit trying to start sh--. He actually brought in BCG while in Lafayette to help evaluate fields, if I recall many of his friends he went to college with worked there. He left Chevron on good terms

@I9tWzJr-1jvc, you're funny - although a cliche'. You're one of the "You upset him" "You got him all annoyed" "You've gotten under his skin" Snappy comeback dorks.

I do that too sometimes. I love that line, albeit way overused and pretty much a 1995 creation, right when bulletin boards and such were popular. It works perfectly when you have no counter-argument, or simply absolutely nothing at all to post, or you just feel like posting randomly and not really contributing to any thread.

I love that - keep it up - LMAO!!! Also - I happen to be gay too, like you. Do you have a problem with that, tootsie? You're not a bigot are you?

Let's be honest, unless G Castoe ascends to one of the two top chairs in GOM, GOM has no chance. If Castoe becomes VP or GM after the Tier 1 sales, GOM will become the top BU in CVX

Ahhh yes that SC fiasco with BCG was during the AMBU downsizing. That got heavy press here in Houston for a few weeks lol. Hearne kept saying conflict of interest. Which of course is not true. He got a promotion to Australia for being so transparent and honest on making Chevron a preferred partner LMAO. The younger guys kept saying such overt attempts to hide things is a career ender. I laughed and said not at Chevron! As long as everyone looks good it does not matter how they did it or if there were any positive results. It's all about the spin. Hearne will have Chevron brass believing Gorgon is the best ID in the last decade. Guy is a bullshiter.....nice guy but a true spin doctor.

The SC guy was Gazalli W. You thought he was part of ISIS on how fast they shut him down. He was harping on CHESM being broke and and how it can encourage fraud......"Oh you know CHESM?"...."Yes I worked for Chevron in SC"......meeting was stopped and Gazalli was back on a plane to NYC that night. It was right after the kickoff meeting. The managers in the meeting said Nigel Hearne sh-- his diapers......first time he ever used stop work authority I believe lol.

Chevron won't let him on the contract. Bet on it! They dictate who will work where.....They did it with a previous SC employee. He was immediately removed from BCG's first contract at AMBU. In fact there should be a stipulation in the contract "No consultants who have worked with Chevron." Don't be naive enough to believe Chevron wants to fix this whole mess at a BU type level. Everyone wants to get by and look good and will use BCG as a tool to do this. If you are high enough on the food chain you will get many days with BCG and after the first day this agenda becomes apparent.
