Blind Pig and the Acorn site...look it up... pitifulest is indeed an accepted word in Appalachian vocabulary. But, surely proper is always good. So, thank you so for doing a proper correction against my post. Love you like a dog- and I still think tomorrow is GOODBYE day for me. Just too many people gone and too much as we knew it gone. go, Gone is all that is left to us now. AND DON'T LOOK BACK because it is all gone. 'I be gone'(proper) by this time tomorrow...last raise 9 years ago makes the decision easy. GOOD BYE TO ALL MY FRIENDS ON SHORE

I had a softlines lead that worked off the clock. There was so much that needed to be done, he felt like he didn't have an option. Get yelled at for not getting it done, or finish it after you clock out. So stressful! I remember when 10yrs ago our store ran almost flawlessly! Now upper management is afraid to even say anything about incorrect shoes. Makes me sad, we use to be a strong company.

That is illegal. IF they manager wants you to do this, which many do, I would file a complaint with the state labor board. This is just standard procedure for this company to get free labor without having to pay people.

It also doesn't help when people do this and management sees the work getting done and come to the conclusion that they can cut hours and people because less people and hours are getting the work done.

It really is not helping you or your store when people do this, it gives a false positive on labor and salary cost and it just leads to more cuts and more work for everyone

You might go with pitifulest but that would be a slang word at best. "Most pitiful" would be a better choice but I'm okay with pitifulest.
