R10 Cluster F today

Way to go tech team on the debacle today was. Dispose of the tech team they do a horrible job they are the reason why we are so many years behind every other retailor. Every deployment is a failure our home grown programs are a joke. Per the usual WFM way nobody will be held accountable I bet.

R10 has been a sh--show. What's worse is that the global R10 team is responsible for all troubleshooting, and MSIs have been told, over and over, that we will not be supporting any POS issues. So, we come in to install aisle scanners on go live days, and every one of my stores perpetually has two of them down. Such pieces of sh--.

There are times my job isn't terrible, but the last few weeks have been unpleasant. But hey, my stores are converted, so yay!

What's the bigger picture meaning of this, it sounds like a technology project fail, right? I can imagine signmakers going away altogether, isn't this SLAW project meant to help reach that goal? what else does slaw do

SLAW is/was a software program which would allow buyers or anyone to make their own signs and tags. The idea was/is to minimize the need for an in store sign maker.

I cannot confirm that it has been scrapped altogether.

We are suppose to train and pilot the program next week in our region so the news that it is not happening has not made it down to us yet.

What is/was SLAW? Explain to someone who doesn't know, please.

This is so embarrassing. Our regional contact was in tears trying to tell us today, in so many words, that yeah SLAW isn't happening. Not that I was a fan of SLAW happening, but everyone was expecting this. I guess it's time to leave this waste of a company.

Not to mention scrapping the sign and label making software program 2 days post launch. We've wasted countless labor hours training TMs to use SLAW. Yet another untested technological development that we've invested time and money in that will likely wind up in the garbage bin.
