Why should Intel maintain the services of three factory managers and a bloated management structure? They emphasize "lean"! Really?

Retired 1989-2016 @ 50 years old.. Grateful to Intel, it is really sad to see the top managers & execs tank this company.
@dfu - Nope. He retired. Which is a shame. He was actually a good manager. I imagine he became tired of dealing with the other idiots. And now those "other idiots" are left to run completely amok.
The sad thing is the site manager is an outsider from an Intel Malaysia assembly plant and knows nothing about semiconductor mfg. You would think he was "put" in this position because of his management skills. Ha. He cares more about employees failing wellnomics keyboard ergonomics than the factory functionality. The other two fab managers came up through the technical ranks and have horrible people skills. Forget Intel ever getting back to a family environment. These dudes don't get it.
LOL, do they still have a plant manager to oversea an empty shell (F42) in the org chart?
I approached the factory manager back when they announced FAB42 in a meeting over at OC8 after the Q&A session hoping not to get a political BS answer. I asked him face-to-face Intel did not need another factory especially since 1265 was going to China and this would free up FAB12 for 1272 while FAB32/22 could run 1268/70. He looked at me like a deer in headlights and said "he disagreed".
So a non-college grad technician could see that we were putting the cart in front of the horse but these so-called "highly educated" people could not. One of Intel's problem is that it's too top heavy. Jobs stated in his book that Intel was like slowing moving ship. Upper management protect their own but the day is coming where you can longer do so. When the titanic sank, it took the captain and his minions with them. Sooner or later this will happen to BK and his minions.
