Job Dialoge...err diatribe

After 6 long yrs at position..I was just given 2's on my JD. Was told I didn't know how to do my job. I have never received below a 3...usually 4 and 5's. Good thing I scored my self fairly or I wouldn't have gotten any raise. So yeah...new way to keep salaries low...BTW this is still from my crackhead hoe team leader...she's a beaut.

I give myself 4s and 5s because why the hell would I not give myself the benefit of a good rating. There is no section for how humble you are. It not like they give a ratsass about your self assessment anyways. I would say things like "no one in the store can perform as well as i can on X station, 5" Then they still just give me a 3 and tell me "keep trying." LOL

Store wide gainsharing should be bigger payouts for some teams and lower for others, but it should be a zero sum change.

What does hurt is cutting labor targets, that really eats up gain sharing fast.

Just remember - if a team ends the quarter in a labor deficit the STL pays for it with their EVA bonus.

My worst one was a lie just made up had I done what was on my job dialogue I should of been wrote up to the point of being on final warning! Nothing had ever been said to me at all! Yes yes yes if I had done it hell Yes, I would deserve it! I am willing to take responsibility if I am in the wrong.

Seriously, just to give me less $ you defame my character? An outright lie!!!

Union yes would of had my back and crushed them and would of had that changed! Actually, it skates really close to a lawsuit. Warning to self I am ready for it if it Ever happens again!

And its impossible to turn in a JD with a maximum score, so that means it is impossible to turn in a JD with the maximum 5% raise in FL.

Team gainsharing is being eliminated. This was announced at the same time they announced the combining of teams. We are going to store-wide gainsharing that has a much lower total payout.

The Florida region JD won't even give an 8% raise. I forget exactly right now but if you do maximum score it is something like 5%.

My team leader is actually a pretty good guy, treats team members fairly, doesnt play favorites...but it's obvious he's been coached to give low score on JDs just to keep raises to a minimum.

Understood...but explain how the lazest person in dept. Just got an 8% raise...she's way above her paygrade....making more than most meat cutters on the team...and she's just a tm.17$ and some change..

I am a current TL and in theory I agree with 'dyi' below, except for the numbers. A 3% raise for a TM making $17/hour is actually 51 cents. That's all you'll get from me unless you are an unbelievable worker. We are forced to limit the score to limit the raises. Labor dollars have been cut so low we are in a real pinch. At my store we are told to never ever miss labor no matter what or we could face corrective action. If just one product team misses the store leadership does not get any bonus. During slow season we can barely cover the floor and get our work done.

My team leader gave me a "needs improvement "for communication... His reason ? My emails weren't long enough... He just wants the longest emails possible so he can spend more time upstairs reading them.. And.. This comes from a team leader who can barely speak a complete sentence and hasn't remembered to communicate one important thing to us all year..A--.

i always give myself 3's and 4's for the most part and the TL usually agrees for the most part...for my most recent job dialogue, i sensed that the company wasn't going to be giving much for raises, if anything...so for the first time, i gave myself all 1's, just to see what would happen. I am near my salary cap anyway. The TL was shocked, and I was trying not to laugh. I said some BS about how I still need to get a better understanding of the newer processes and policies. and how I don't fully understand IRMA. and how I am late sometimes. and how I need more product knowledge because new products are always coming out. and how there is so much work to do all of the time, that I am always behind, and never caught up. I ended up still getting a tiny raise, even though I wasn't even sure that was any raise to be given, due to the current company situation. Totally worth it, just to see how confused my TL was.

They are doing it to cut back your raise. They have to rate you low so they can cut your raise. You probably make a lot of money and even a 3% increase will result in .75-$1
