Did anyone see DB get walked out last week? What's the story?

Ah, finally the truth comes out ... the simple explanation is usually the right one.
Don't believe the office gossip. This is the second economics manager fired in 12 months. He did not give the ELT the numbers they wanted and they fired him. The co-manager quit in solidarity. The next manager will give them what they want. Correct is less important than spin. The people with integrity are being let go.
It's pilling on to folks that have already lost their job and their relationship, okay - that's a characterisirc of the culture at ConocoPhillips: pilling on.
I bet they weren't worried about getting trashed online when they were busy bumping pee holes with one another. They deserve what they get for two reasons. 1) Cheating on their spouses. 2) Being stupid enough to say bad things about their boss while using company e-mail.
Folks, leave these two alone - they have already lost their jobs and probably their relationships. Not cool to trash them online ...

He was in an inappropriate relationship ship with a comanager. Upon investigation they both had company emails saying bad things about their boss and both fired. Lesson learned don't say bad things about your boss using company email. No great loss he was not liked but he was a great brownoser. That's what it takes to succeed.
Wish I didn't quit so early, don't get me wrong I am glad I am gone but I wouldn't mind getting some of that severance cheddar
