Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK and Murthy know all too well that cuts will give the stock price a short term sugar rush but what about the medium to long term

What I'm really interested in is when people think the loss of critical experts and moral can not be hidden from outsiders. Do people have examples of products that are being delayed or process with are on hold? It would be very interesting to know the damage and if the patient is critical.

"There is so much fat at Intel (still) that I doubt anything important was impacted."

This was the stupidity of ACT: It indiscriminately cut fat, muscle and bone...while leaving lots of fat and the remaining critical parts of the company without key people to ensure execution on strategic priorities.

Sometimes older, experienced employees actually know what they're doing and are serving in critical roles.

In addition, it's torpedoed the morale of the rest of the company. When people see career, dedicated, successful employees eliminated without notice and without doing anything wrong, it tends to make them nervous about the future.

@IFKnDZb-dsa I expect a rinse and repeat of 14nm stunts, but this time it is bad, really bad. A least last time we didn't have two more desperate designs on 22nm says a lot, LOL

We will know the impact for sure by Q3 earnings report (~Oct timeframe). In the meantime, we might get a sneak preview of product / 10nm process delay from IDF in the next few weeks.

IMO, BK and co. already know the news are going to be bad, and that's why they are short-selling their stock like there's no tomorrow.
