Cisco has a severe problem. In 2014 we had the mother load of layoffs to make sure we didn't have to keep with this layoff strategy. In 2015 rumors ran rampant on the next round of layoffs but in 2015 Cisco targeted layoffs to keep in hush hush.
Cisco preaches culture but this is the real culture that they have created. If you work in product development you know that Cisco products have a horrible quality level and it is sad, very sad because employees just don't care anymore. Let's face it they are just like me. They are here for their own reasons, they are here for the benefits, but they are definitely not here for the company.
Cisco management has broken the mules back and employees could care less about the success of the company because there just isn't anything there for them other than benefits and a paycheck. I know this is a long venting message but it is Sunday night and I am depressed as f-ck that I have to go to work in 7 hours so I can interface with the Bangalore team which is working way more hours that I do(most of who will leave within a year because they have a ton of better opportunities) and truth be told I have a few beers in me because that is the only way I can face the next day.
Sad oh hell ya it is.
