Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Murthy's Open Forum

Murthy is going to have his open forum soon. You can submit your questions in advance, but funnily there's not the same mechanism used before where everyone can see the questions and vote for favourite ones, but just plain submit question form. Probably the interesting questions will be left out.

Personally I would ask what has he concretely done during his 6 months at Intel. All I've heard is a couple of appointments and probably orchestrating some layoffs. But no strategy, no vision, no concrete actions to improve things.

What are the questions you would like to ask from Murthy?

Complete waste of time, he spent 40 minutes on intro talking about truly nothing, and then took a couple of questions, and couldn't give a straight answer on whether Intel is doing phones/tablets or not.

So, anything from the open forum? Did he dazzle everybody again with his vision of the pervasive fog?

Nothing would speak louder than a sparsely filled room...

"These forums, surveys, polls are useless. No one should attend them. Only that will tell management that we are not sheeps. They just keep telling BS and we listen as if we have no brains. People feel out surveys in the hope that management will listen and change ways, but they derive conclusions they want to derive. It's better to just boycott all open forums and surveys and keep your self-respect."

My question is.... Why isn't he letting people see and vote up the questions?

Also, what's Kim Stevenson's new CIO job about? Is that new or is she replacing someone?

He sells his stock because he doesn't believe the company will be worth more in the future

I would ask him if he believed in the why does he sell all of his stock every quarter.

Do you think you worth $25M/year and a private plane? I would exchange Murthy for 120 Engineers from the last layoff
