Seems our government wants another scalp, wish they would spend some time looking the the community college system where we send almost 50% of our undergraduate students and few graduate. State and local taxpayers send over $85 billion each year to public universities to fund their annual losses. In addition, there is about $35 billion in Pell Grants each year as well.

ACICS serves about 10% as many students as community colleges do and their colleges have to report job placement outcomes, while the community colleges do not.

Go Figure.....

ACICS can't do sanctions to EDMC, you clearly don't understand how accreditation works. Each school has its own accreditation. Some schools like Miami are regional SACS, some like Fort Lauderdale are ACICS. They get reviewed every 5 years or so and get signed off on compliance. ACICS would have to address issues with compliance with each institution. ACICS is the largest national accrediting organization of degree granting institutions in the USA. If ACICS fails student at over 900 institutions will lose their ability to qualify for loans, grants, federal funds etc. It would be catastropic for almost a million students. ACICS is very strict and I am surprised that the Feds are reviewing their business practices, however they will have time to respond to any issues and correct them. It will take years for any of this to play out. Institutions will also have time to pursue accreditation with other companies. I am sure many AI schools are considering this possibility.

Nothing will happen to Zenith Education Group because it's a partner of the DOE. Zenith was secretly warned by the DOE last year to transfer all their schools to ACCSC because the DOE was coming down on ACICS this year. Besides ECMC pays BIG money to the Podesta Group to lobby for them and one of the Podesta brothers is Clinton's campaign manager. Money talks when dealing with the Clintons.
