Shes getting her job back, union fought hard. It is more important for the union to get 1 job back and screw the #44. If they are in fact doing something about it, they certainly not saying anything about it. I have lost complete faith in this union. The #44 were f---ed from the begining and union wont lift a finger to help any further. The laid off put in for the open positions and they not even getting a phone call. Thanks union for putting me name on "top of the(black) list" for upcoming jobs.

WTF are you going on about? VZ pay their employees very well, both mgmt and craft alike. The benies are top notch to boot. So here you have it. Verizon can't afford to pay it's employees a good salary and benefits. YET...Aol and Yahoo cost nearly $10 billion. Fleetmatics cost another $2.4 billion and God only knows how many billions of dollars have been and will continue to be wasted on Go90 and hum.
Don't kid yourselves! Behind closed doors pockets are being filled with $$$ and neither Verizon nor the unions give a $hit about the workers. Verizon laid off 44 technicians for absolutely no reason and then immediately forced it's remaining technicians to work 12+ hours per day, 6 or 7 days a week, for approximately the next 6 months and the union did absolutely nothing about it. Now Verizon is hiring 60 PART-TIME technicians, paying them a $hit wage and $hit benefits but these part-timers will be union, so they'll still have the privilege of paying union dues.
In the meantime, Verizon is back to it's pre-strike gameplan. Management has been instructed to once again harass, suspend and terminate as many workers as possible. So far only one manager has had the balls to tell these corrupt executives to f-- off and he chose to quit over being immoral. When will the rest of management come to the realization that they're selling their souls to the devil?

Bianca is a union rep at wireless. #44 are those laid off in PA 2 weeks prior to official negotiations started in 2015.
