Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Aero Town Hall Aug. 3rd

Another inspiring town hall by the aerospace management team. My favorite part was during the Q&A..

Employee: Will Honeywell have any more cost saving measures this year?

Mahoney: Yes

No details, no elaboration, just "yes". Get prepared for 3rd and 4th quarter furloughs, assuming you make it thru the upcoming layoffs. Good luck to all.

Leadership lost when they adopted the "Mein Kampf" doctrine aspoused by The furor ADOLF Cote with his cherished HOS dogma he zealously preached to the masses within Honeyhell. Now that Côte has sold us out by unloading his cherished stock options built on the blood, sweat and tears of those he vanquished by making life so unbearable to work there or were pressured out to the nonsensical 9 block employee performance program he can be at peace and enjoy life in seclusion . . . Until he is judged by the all mighty and sent to the firiery eternal resting place that he so richly deserves.

Hey!

Tim Mahoney did indeed state that they/we (note the difference) are all suffering through this together when he afforded the fact that he too is required to participate in the furloughs, where he had to spend the week to finish counting his 8+ million salary from 2015 http://www1.salary.com/Timothy-O-Mahoney-Salary-Bonus-Stock-Options-for-HONEYWELL-INTERNATIONAL-INC.html.

If you've been working really hard at Honeywell,

and are offered a hot lunch as a reward,

just be really, really careful that you are getting what you hoped for.

I wouldn't call them "leadership", "leaders", etc...."Leader" is the one that understands the technology, gets out of his cave, makes meaningful presentations and gets contracts, gets work for his team.......This applies all the way down to first level managers; simply approving time cards and attending passively meetings ain't enough, an admin can do that too.......

Tim Mahoney is a great man. He is looking out for OUR best interests. He deserves every last million dollars he receives.

Said no one ever.

Earlier in the talk there was also a question to the likes of: 'If the aerospace outlook is as bleak as you say, why should any employee stay. This is a giant retention issue'

Baloney's response was gold.

He also mentioned the 'Lopez Effect' a number of times.

If you read about the Lopez Effect (http://enigmasolution.blogspot.com/2010/08/lopez-effect.html) it is about crappy management taking a dump on their employees and suppliers for short term boost to the stock, yet doing significant damage long term to these relationships and building a non-sustainable business.

The message employees want to hear is that there is a plan to make this better, that we are all in it together, and that we will be taken care of on the flip side. Not that our crappy management is crappy, and that we all better 'hold on' because a rough ride is ahead of us.
