Guys, a quick FYI - they (admins) nuke posts that cross the line, usually politics, race and nationality will take you there. They nuke all posts you ever made (happened to me) and they block your IP.

I had to switch to a proxy posting due to this which is pain (speed) and it kind of hurt that all my postings were nuked (I had dozens, several threads were started by me, etc.)

The way how they administer this site is perplexing, I hate it but I am just giving you my two cents.

Yup I agree, who would want to work for a company where every quarter/year there is full 5% distribution....where if you share your key learnings and help your team mate it will come back to haunt you. Why work under that stress? The new RCGs are working out of love for what they do, not money. Fact...my manager said specifically that the working hours of our team is from 8-5 with the expectation that people are here before 9am. Every millennial ignored him and continued to arrive at work around 9:30 and left at 4. They don't care...they really do not care...

Indian and Asian families put a high value on STEM education and really push their kids to excel in school. That's why they are represented so much in tech compared to their overall percentage in the population at large. I read an article explaining that in the California university system, Asians make up 40 percent of the freshmen, even though they are only about 15 percent of the whole population. When my son was in college (and not even in California, which has a lot of Asians), every single one of the dorm or house mates he had over 5 year period was either Korean, Japanese, or Taiwanese. And they were all in STEM fields except for the one guy in international business. Every single one of those kids told me they really wanted to be something else--a musician, an actor, an artist, a teacher--but the culture (and their parents) relentlessly drove them to STEM.

I agree with the poster who here, and probably other threads, has compared tech recruiting and hiring to building a winning sports team. You can't say "we must have X percent female, black, latino etc" anymore than you can say, "we need to cut number of Indian engineers down to X percent because we have too many of them." You vie for the best talent you can get, period. I do think that Google, FB, Apple probably have an edge when it comes to top-notch candidates. Intel is probably stuck with the back bench and/or those willing to put up with H1B indentured servitude or the focal-spawned dog-eat-dog environment. My millennial kids and their friends never mention Intel as a place they'd like to work. And it is not necessarily about the pay. U.S. millennials work for passion not for pay, and are more likely to avoid any employer if the company has a bad reputation (which Intel is rapidly getting).

@Aun you do know tier US Universities have less than 20% whites on a Global basis maybe 2% 25 years ago those numbers were different. White still have huge advantage in Life not at a fair balance maybe 100 years from know. Like slavery 500 years

@IHVrb98-mob FWIW when you go hire talent at Tier1 schools or from other companies you look to hire the "best" not selectively try to pluck out the URM. Like the draft for any professional sports team and such, you pass on the best talent to pick up a slow white / asian / indian that can't jump or run?

Not about having enough of anything about getting the best.. if the best happens to be URM great, if not pass.

I wonder why BK can be at such an extreme, at one end he claims to be a business and results oriented and decides last year and this year to make cuts for the "business" than at the same time think he can somehow bolster the company in some false way with his blustering about making the employee base match the general population, does he run a charity or a business, he can't have it both ways!

How is a veteran Intel with a SL4 or didn't get promoted for many years get forced out of the company so he can than hire the less than best candidate for a job is beyond me how the Board tolerates that kind of political BK

Regarding: "And Intel wants to hire URM instead of the rocking Asians and Indians that could make the company better!"

That's because Intel is already overflowing with Asians and Indians @ ksf

This is not a good reason to vote for trump, OP. I understand your frustration but the saying "be careful what you ask for" wouldn't be a good thing in this case. In fact, I think this country will be worse off if Trump wins. The man spreads hate and he's quick to react (not in a good way). He doesn't think first, he's all about kneejerk reacting and telling people what he thinks they want to hear. That is NOT a good trait for a President! I think he wouldn't even come through with any H1B promises so then we're stuck with an egotistical *sshole that you're going to dislike MORE because you didn't even get the ONE THING you voted him in for!!!

Dude is scary.... Just sayin'

ACTUALLY Google is much more diverse than you think.

GOOGLE SERVES GREAT FOOD, lots of organic salads etc...

The Catering company brought in Indian Chefs from both South and North India to train Americans. See

whites have good meanigful jobs and job security. All large ztech firms will have to serve or already o good Indian food
