It looks like 10nm and cannonlake are on track.

The server ARM is coming, and you think FB, Azure, AWS, and Google won't embrace it over Xeons when they can be had for a few thousand for a cluster versus tens of thousands. How much does Intel make on the server chips and how many billions does the big cloud companies spend on hardware and billions more cooling them. That same thing that kicked intel in the balls in tablets and phones is going to castrate them in the server market.
The titanic hit the iceberg and BK strategy is totally BK'd!
Which factory? Would that be the $2bn empty shell sitting in the middle of the Arizona desert, collecting dust for 3 years already?
Sorry, too late

Do you work in TMG?
I didn't think so - otherwise you wouldn't be making these retarded comments about your dime a dozen MSEE.
@1zot - This is @1oyf. I am a senior physical designer with an MSEE in VLSI design. I know how a transistor works. Do you?
You really are stupid.. to know how a transistor works says nothing about they are manufactured these days. I highly doubt you even understand the subtle things with HighK metal Gate, FINFET or other things like double or quad patterning.. STFU
Did you go to the Hollywood upstairs school of engineering? How would you know what yields are like?
@IHsiDpU-oef Yield if it were only that, LOL
I doubt you have any idea what you're talking about. I doubt you even have a basic understanding of how a transistor works.
I highly doubt CNL will be anywhere near decent yields in al2H17.
We'll know more after IDF this month.
Seems like all is well.
It's all about the....yield.
LOL, spending is eye popping with equipment, people sand consumables in the billions that have to be accounted for. That is obvious as they have to beancount this. These actions were put in place more than two years ago, money spent, equipment bought, equipment installed, people moved to Hillyboro for training.

Totally different matter as whether 10nm or Canonlake is coming. BTW enough other posts already talked about the state of Canolake.
Imagine the Spruce Goose is what I'm thinking at the moment, LOL
