Intel's greatest asset is not its product line but its ability to manipulate and coax Intelliers especially the low cost geo sites to practically dedicate their entire life to Intel. Most low cost geo staff have early morning 7am meetings, work 8am to 7pm, then continue with night meetings (10pm onwards to pass midnite) almost every weeknight, at the very least 3 to 4 times a week. And most continue to logon to work during weekends as well. Some of these staff dedication is to the extent of detriment to their family and spouse. It is well known in some low cost geo site like Penang, some higher level management staff have openly tell their subordinates that they choose Intel over their spouse. This is Intel's greatest achievement, its ability to totally brainwash its low cost geo sites to not able to see anything beyond Intel.
