@1myw: why should any lay off criteria be the mentality ? That employee didnt join cisco with that mentality.
if we are doing LR based on mentality , then people like you and other managers who play politics should be LR'd.

It is called disclosure. Announcements before are not unusual. However, rumor I'm hearing is it will all be low key more like last year. Multiple small events.
Wall Street loves layoffs. The bigger the better.
Expect CSCO to pop (maybe a 2% jump on the news)
Investors see mass layoffs as good for the earnings per share. (Less money on those pesky, expensive employees)
