Never regret leaving a good ole boy company like GE Oil & Gas cause they will not lose NO sleep over laying you off or for finding a reason to fire you and keep their homies.

Sounds like everyone in management has zero skills at GE. Might be just disgruntled. The place sure has gone down. Might be a purge after 3q numbers roll out. Start to point fingers.

"I were forced to leave the place I worked for 17-1/2 years by a young GE leader"

well you might be out of your misery soon. I do not like saying this but September will be the next quarterly hit! They can tell you there will be no more cuts each time for the rest of the year, but GE is a business and if they quarterly is negative they have to cut engineers. They will not cut a high level incompetent manager, but good people who make the company instead. Telling people there will be no more lay offs is management's way of indicating that you need to keep your head up and give us the last of what you got before you get a lay off next round.

I really am sick of all the big dog oil and gas companies and even the crappy ones like GE Oil and Gas. They do not manage their billions in profits during times like these when we need it the most to stay a float. I have left the industry since I got laid off two rounds before. However, coming back to Oil and Gas would be a love/hate relationship. I will not rule it out, but if I am doing good at where I am now there is no reason to consider. The market will pick up, they will hire fast and lay off faster.

I got laid off... I have to move out of state, but I don't think oil is coming up for a while.
