They are actually concerned about the large numbers of EOI this time... They realize connecting with/engaging the workforce is not working, and they need to figure out how to fix it.

Hel1 you sum beaches just ain't figured it out yet. All them managers and VP's been working hard all thier lives. They can blow c0ck like nobody's business. It starts in the frats in college, the freshmen soap up the seniors in the shower, they get a lot of experience there. And they are professionals at kissing and s---ing by the time they get into the corporate world. Not to mention they made a lot of "contacts" along the way. They ain't goin nowhere. They will be here long after we are gone. If you are not willing to play that game, just accept that you make less money and, like Mongo, "we are all just pawns in the game of life."
I hope oil goes to $20/bbl for 2 years and see what happens and the BS that comes out of managements mouths....

I don't blame them. If I was younger and single, I'd EOI and go back to school with a helpful nest egg. If I was older, I'd EOI and enjoy retirement and consulting when I felt like it.
The revelation here is that the management had no idea that so many people would EOI and probably won't recognise or accept what that means for the company and the clear indications of morale and employee confidence in the future of the company.
We all know that management doesn't care.
