Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Coming to an End

08/09/2016 Union Pacific Southern Region contracts 225 jobs to Econo Rail and three other short line railroads. Several yards located in Lake Charles, Alexandria, Houston, Beaumont, and Galveston will be contracted out. "Employee's should be aware employment is no longer guaranteed no matter how many years of service you have. Union Pacific is also terminating employees using FMLA on weekends and have brought YTD 19 Lawsuits against physicians in which they have won 11 out of 19. My fellow railroaders the railroader days are over and so is overtime, in the Northern and Western Regions managers are being terminated for allowing TEY employees to work overtime. Effective 03/2017 there will be no overtime permitted with TEY employees.

Im sorry but no! In cental cali over time is flowing just fine. Our managers seem unconcerned about it. Even when we warn them that it looks like the extra sh-- they are heaping on us will lead into over time they just shrug. Our yard went from 6 yard jobs before 09 to just 3, and traffic is picking up. Now they are talking about taking kicking cars off the table. Thats even more ot. They just don't care at all!
