Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Regionals can afford to buy a bike

Yesterday at a launch party Anthony ( regional vp) was randomly picked as a winner for a new bike.. Instead of offering it to another person or letting them pick another name the a--hole kept the bike!!! D--k move. Another reason I am leaving .. Like I needed another

I agree with the poster who said this is indicative of the self-centered mentality at WFM. The troll who said we should put away our "pitchforks" perfectly illustrates the arrogance of those who hold high office in WFM. You view all the hardworking TMs and store level as peasants with pitchforks. Thanks for making this point so clear for all to see.

Regarding the claim that the bike or funds from it were donated to a local charity to repair a bike trail, that goes to support the point that this VP didn't need the bike!! Besides, haven't you ever heard the phrase "charity begins at home"? Giving the bike to a deserving team member would have been far more gracious. But I don't imagine that even occurred to this VP!

Actually The $2000 went to charity to fix a local bike track....usless thread is usless. Carry on with your pitch forks

Bigger things to worry about.. Yes.. But the post is very necessary.. Why? It shows a mentality .. A culture. Not one that is in line with what whole foods is supposed to be about. If that moron vp actually lived whole foods "culture" he would have given the bike to someone that REALLY needs it.. I am only a mere atl and even I would have not kept the bike. I would have given it to one of my team members.

So -4gco, did the $2000 raised go to another stock buyout?

Maybe if he wins the lottery or wins on a scratch off ticket , he can share it with everyone in this thread. Dumbest thing ever to be worried about. Everyone at the event had the SAME opportunity to buy the $5 raffle tickets to win the $50 bike. If he didn't buy tickets, then I sure someone would be upset because "he didn't support the cause"

BTW Tne event raised $2000 in raffle

Tickets ...hardly just giving the bike away

Can't win for trying I guess / much bigger things to worry about

-2gqa, if this is the MA region I wouldn't be surprised. I like Anthony (if this is the same Anthony who has a last name that kind of rhymes with Serrano) but he must have serious delusion to have missed the opportunity to give that bike to a dishwasher or any other TM that suffers at a store now.

Wow. I can't believe that. How f'ing stupid can you be? I work in a different region and don't even know anything about that person but, seriously!? How can anyone think that is even remotely acceptable?

at that level, these guys are so out of touch they have no idea what something like that means to their $11 per hour workers. all they see are the shows and fake enthusiasm the stores put on when they come for their announced walks.

jerk shouldn't of even entered his name maybe the whole thing was rigged? He took the bike back and charged it back to WF credit card to serve the most important players in the corporate rigged game called crony capitalism. Just a thought hell the shady things I've seen done nothing would surprise me at this point.

why would the RVP even be part of a drawing? way to take away from those that earn a fraction of what you do.
