I've commented with this info at least 8 times now. My team's boss told us last week that he has to let 30% of us go. It IS happening.
Look at all the reports. Cisco is going to have a great quarter. All employee bonuses will be paid out in full.
Do not believe in rumors. 15K layoff number is not true. There are no layoffs. Cisco is soaring.
Stay positive. Let's play, win, and work together in Building 10. #ThereIsNoTomorrow.

All I do is spend time traveling from one event to another, and make some noise on all hands.
Best practices to not get laid off:
1. Never show up to your work. Always travel to customer or partner sites.
2. GSX, All Cisco Lives, Partner Events (Netapp) Be really good at showing up early and leaving early at these events.
3. Always, use Webex Camera and take notes. and Bullshit
.4. Fill out every Cisco internal survery with 10/10 about management. if it goes below 9, you are targeted.
5. Do not do any real work, other than Powerpoint. (u can steal some good slide formats by google search.. Gosh!..never use Cisco internal stuff. they are never original.
