I got a surprising 1on1 discussion on career goals with manager. He gave several hints to me to start lookingaround. I appreciate him for his nice gesture to give me hints 3-4 days ahead of time.

anyone else got a career discsussion 1on1 yet ?

Yes, if you got a skip level invite or any sort of surprising 1:1 with your manager, you're going to get "the drill. They get "the training" tomorrow on how to hold discussions. Another dead giveaway of teams that are going to get hot hard is a recent move, and you were told you can just take a single box to the new location a,d everything else has to go home. All obvious signs based on the patterns from the last years. I am told I am not on the list, but enough is enough and I am accepting an external offer in the next 3 weeks. I am not even sure why people stay in - if your're senior (especially a grade 12), you will get whacked in the next 1-2 RIFs. And the packages keep getting worse. Cisco thinks they're better off with a younger (cheaper) culture. They've been good to me, wish them the best, but clearly not the spot for me anymore.

In the pigsty called Global Strategic Partner Org. Got a 1:1 scheduled for 930 EST for 15 minutes with my supervisor. Not a good feeling.

This does not sound good for you my friend. Unless your mgr did this before, I would be very concerned. Keep checking in here, I hope other see that pattern, but I doubt it. All the best
