It's IDF Week in SF. IF you are there, please post your observations. Preview on IDF website shows only 3 keynotes - BK, Murthy and DB. Murthy collapses the Kirk/Doug keynotes into one talk. The interesting part is the Tech Sessions - virtually nothing on client, predictably nothing on wearables, and strangely thin on IOT. Tech Showcase looks a little sparse, too. Datacenter heavy, from every angle.

5G... how is that going to rescue intel's falling client sales, or grow servers to just their "prediction" remember Intel missed on servers growth and client continues to fall. 5G going to rescue sales just like WIMAX/CLEAR did, LOL.
5G will explode smartphone sales with huge upgrades.. Oh yeah Intel got LG... they are going to make ARM aps processors that sell for 20 bucks versus Client / Server that sell for 150 to 10000 bucks.. sounds like a win to me, can you order up another 20K layoff in 2018 after the 10K layoff in 2017.
Looks like Murthy spent his whole time on 5G, and Diane on 5G, Photonics, RackScale and usual stuff. Nothing really new here - 5G is 2018 and well beyond. Ugh.
