Just saw this banner on my local Sears store so I went inside to see what it's all about and what I found was a new small area at the back of the store with what appears to be clearance items moved from another part of the store. "Grand Opening Clearance Shop" is pretty misleading when you just move some racks around.

Not a bad idea, especially if there is a ton of clearance that would clog the salesfloor. About two years ago, one of the older Sears in Los Angeles had a Bargain Basement that was actually a former toy department. They would do announcements to visit the "basement" for half off the lowest ticketed price. It seemed to generate some excitement among shoppers.
