Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Do think Ryan is going to shut down COP's part of Bartlesville immediately or slowly this year and next year?

Do think Ryan is going to shut down COP's part of Bartlesville immediately or slowly this year and next year? Will we just give the office space to Phillips 66? Probably no market for office space in that little crappy town. I could see the writing on the wall, I'm so glad I got out of there!

Shut it down and let Phillips use or have the building! Nothing in Bartlesville worth keeping!

If the way they have handled the entire downturn so far is any indication, the ELT will just keep everything at a slow trickle out the door, which means ongoing fear and job loss for everyone. IF they had just ripped off the bandaid and forced deeper, tougher cuts last year (yes, I know they were terrible but just not enough clearly) we would be running so much leaner now and in a much better position. Why they let L48 remain so extremely overstaffed is just beyond me. So, Bartlesville, Houston, whatever. It doesn't matter where you're located. You and/or someone sitting next to you will be hit. If not this torture round, the next or the next. No end in sight...

Shut it down in September we can handle what they do here in Houston and we need the work! We have been gradually doing more and more of their tasks anyway, I think we're ready!
