COBRA payout issue

Part of the package is x months (depending on YOS) of COBRA as a lump sum. As I'm covered under my spouse's benefits (who is also a Cisco employee - not LR'd) they are saying that I don't get any compensation for this. Shouldn't I at least get the amount for what I would pay to continue my benefits for myself?

We just arbitrarily chose to have my spouse pay the benefits - it really doesn't matter.

In all fairness you should, but when has Cisco ever been fair about anything?

Just divorce your spouse on paper, then get your cobra and get back with your spouse again as a married couple.
