Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Has anything changed?

Take a look around. Has anything changed? Has management contributed anything of value lately? Has management turned over and made way for the next generation of "talent", or are we still promoting our friends, family members, ward members, or slightly unstable ex-girlfriends? Has the deadwood been thrown from the wood pile? Has senior leadership parted with its 1950s-era ego-centric command-and-control approach? Have we received long-term business opportunities? Fresh ideas? Has anything truly changed other than our bone-headed business valuation and stock price fluff? Do your time cards say anything meaningful? Does your work scream innovation? Has that guy you sit next to in your cubicle stopped snoring, belching, or complaining? What is CSW? What is this company? Are we just going through the motions? Wouldn't "Heavenly Father" cry out emphatically, "You s---!"? Is it time for change?

Waco manufacturing is on its last legs. The one that was in charge of making the Navy mad has now taken over. I am sure she will do the same fine job of blowing it, as she did the VVIP MODs. Quality still runs amuck, as directed by the Bell boys cartel. They have people in charge that don't have a clue of how to treat customers or get a good product, that's why they aren't at Bell any longer. Their lead inspector/ manager resigned his reservist commitment during Dessert Storm . He was good enough for the meetings and the checks but did not want to actually fight for his country.

The only thing I've seen change is some ops people have left and have been replaced with the Eiting good-ol-boys network. Take that Studdard guy - he knows nothing about manufacturing. We tend to promote based on loyalty, not on skill.
