News on the combining of teams in existing stores

Good news for those that work at the busier stores around the country: Global has announced that combining teams in stores that are in the over $650k/week group (average sales over $650,000 per week) has been postponed indefinitely. Of course, they may decide to do it later, but at least you won't be going through that horrible mess anytime soon.

It is full steam ahead for combining stores with sales less than that, though, and it is already happening in some regions. I don't know how that breaks down exactly, but I would guess that more than half of all stores are looking at getting combined.

How will you know if Global is lying to you to protect their own selfish interests?: Their lips are moving!

Whole Foods is in a tough situation and I don't think anyone's job is truly safe. Don't be complacent----even if they tell you your position is "safe", it would be very wise to start networking and polishing up your resume to find a job with a more stable company.

I was told my position would not change or go away by Global on a company wide call 3 years ago. Position completely changed and is confirmed as gone in 9 months.
