Don't feed the anti-American ISIS troll. (Moon landing BS) He's cutting and pasting this on every thread.

If you are 50+ and are part of the next ESP you can select EOI and will, almost certainly get severance. If you are younger then you can ask but it would depend on your department or BU requirements.

@IWhvsQ8-tnr, I've read the entire thread and It seems like the only one obsessed with vulgar references to genitalia on this thread is you. Please find something to do all day instead of surfing the internet at work on company time.

Nobody is stopping you from leaving, OP. Just leave if you want to leave. You won't get a generous severance package, but you also won't have to put up with whatever it is that you don't like. If CVX has been your only job, you might be surprised that other companies have the same politics or more and perhaps not the same pay and benefits. So, you better work on getting another job before you leave. My husband left Chevron after ten years because he didn't like all of the politics. He went with a hi-tech company that had a lot more politics and red tape than Chevron. He always regretted leaving Chevron.

There's the limp noodle thing obsessed with other peoples butts again. Has he not found a job yet? I hear Chevron IT is hiring. Maybe you can trouble shoot outlook problems. You have cutting and pasting and regurgitating the same stuff again and again down pretty good.

Now be a good girl, change the tampon and get back to cleaning the kitchen, -zrk.

FAP is giving you the best advice. If your BU allows an EOI, you can take it, but don't show your hand until this point. If you are not of retirement age AND ready to retire, I'd not recommend volunteering because a job with CVX even with its frustrations would be very hard to adequately replace.

No. You have to not want to leave Chevron to get severance. Watch the movie "Catch 22" while drinking a bottle of whiskey... It will all be clearer in the morning.

If your Business Unit will allow you to EOI (expression of interest) or to "raise your hand" during a ROM or ESP (layoff period), then it's likely you will be granted your wish to be laid off. All laid off employees qualify for the SESP (severance plan). I won't suggest making your wishes to leave Chevron known to your supervisor or manager prematurely. Wait first and see if the BU will permit its workers to volunteer to leave. If no EOI is allowed, but you must post for one to three jobs, you can always post for jobs you are certain you won't get or are 1 or 2 pay grades higher than your current job. In other words, try to fail.

Only if you tell him or her that you are a butthurt loser and are deadwood about to fall of the tree and are just playing candy crush and checking your 401k and waiting for the next smoke or coffee break like a lot of the useless losers here now. Then they will send you home where you can do even less with your life and just crawl in a corner and pout like a little liberal millennial loser. Or perhaps you can campaign for Hillarity and try to persuade other useless do-nothing lazy losers to vote for more handouts funded by the tax dollars of people who understand that the world does not owe them a living so they get up every day and bust their A$$, unlike you.
