The problems at other companies are not an issue of someone fixing the company more than a lack of ability to be agile and adaptable in a time of major technological shift. They are all trying to survive. They are reacting and that's not a good thing but at the same time if an employee doesn't have the right skill set and can't be easily trained what would you do for your business? It's not true in every downsizing case sometimes they just get way too greedy.
