I left somewhat involuntarily a while ago. I was just wondering if people are still getting canned, or if I should've held out for longer. I apologize in advance for "offending" the trolls.

Layoffs are the "new normal". They're the only thing Chevron seems capable of doing, with any degree of success, as a matter of fact, and, to my knowledge,... there have been no accidents or safety issues, so far, in the firing process! Am surprised HES hasn't held more "recognition lunches/diners" to congratulate themselves for such a sterling record!
-hfn, CPL is planning to cut 123 employees.
I do worry because I just started lessthana year ago as an NTP
Don't worry, 1mhl. Rumors are that Chevron is growing waves of layoffs like tumors.
Yes, still layoffs are going on, and rumors are that another huge wave of global layoffs will be announced late September

Yes however the strategy is to stay out of the media and avoid have to give government required notice so they are laying off a few people a week - ABU is a good example.
If the troll fits ...
I'm offended that you think I'm so easily offended
I retired from CPL 6 years ago. Sorry to hear of these layoffs since the pipeline sold off half or more of its assets in 2014. Do you know how many employees are targeted be cut at CPL?
CPL is going through a ROM right now. The results will be announced next week.
Hard to imagine how PRC won't be hammered as these phase 4 projects complete and nothing new is starting other than FGP.
Yes still in layoffs, but really depends on the company within Chevron. I think the "8000" have been hit and now most companies are holding before "reassessment" starts again next budget year.
