Yes, -5ncs, I fell the same way. I can't believe it when I read these people are so worried about their pensions, as generous as they are as well as the severance packages. It's more than I could ever spend, but like you, I am not a spendthrift and insisted that my kids pay their own way. They are so much better for it, at the end of the day and I am very proud of them!

Agree 100%. I am happy also that I didn't have to make the decision on my own as I was already FI(Financially Independent) and ready to cut loose. The decision is difficult and they made it for me. I can now proceed with my retirement and leave the daily grind with a nice nest egg. My spouse and I have always lived frugally and did not ever plan to change so why should we be all concerned? We are not the types who were saving up for some lifestyle that we were not familiar with, in a $10 MM condo overlooking South beach. That just doesn't appeal to us and we are not consumerists. We enjoy simple things, and just living and planning lazy vacations without having to get up and go to work everyday is more luxurious than we have ever dreamed of!!

Relax, guys, of course these angloamerican cannibals don't like hatred and true history, they are very soft gentle and polite assshoooles, they want that everybody like them and ask democracy in the form of bombs, they don't like real enemies in the field on the ground , only some weak undeveloped small nations without advanced weapons, they never fought with real soldiers like Russians or Germans. Only Russians and Germans are real soldiers all centuries, angloamerican puuusssiiies are only bold to fight from distance. Because they are so vulnerable to hatred and they don't like trolls telling them the truth, which the whole world is learning at the moment

Stop this anti- anti- anti- hysteria trolling, and say something serious about why you did this to all nations for the last three centuries? Do not think that you would be able to escape from deserved punishment. The history will punish you

You don't like hatred to you? Of course, you like to kill politely and nicely with a smile on you zombie face. Soon you will know all the truth for the last three centuries of wars, and will see how people around the world would feel about angloamerican criminals and canibals

Do you want to say that Anglo-Americans liked the USSR? Of course, they hated it and planed the war against soviets all the time, supported hitler, allowed him to grow taking Czechoslovakia (remember Munich 1938?) with one of the best industries in Europe at that time, Austria, France, poland, etc thus taking under his control all Europe with all population , industries, wealth etc. that all was encouraged by angloamericans . After that hitler was ready to go to USSR. Harry Truman: "if we see that that Germany is winning we ought to help Russia; and if that Russia is winning, we ought to help Germany, and in that way let them kill as many as possible" . Study true history and you will see real cannibals who start all the wars now and back then, stupid sheep moron.

It doesn't matter how it is called today. Changing names is one of the most common strategies to hide for all bloody criminals all centuries. The absolute truth fact is that hitler and "great" britain -"usa" we're allies and hitler was created for the only purpose to attack USSR . So hitler was just a bloody weapon in the hands of Anglo-American criminal mafia. These are the facts and you can do nothing about that. Already happened!!!

Well given that Chevron did not exist back then that claim would be a stretch, to say the least! If your talking about standard oil that was split into what is now just about every USA major: Exxon, Mobil Chevron, Texaco, Esso, and others. You probably evolved from homoids that were canibals ... How much should we blame you personally for that?

I hate my job here but I have no other options as I studied for an advanced degree in a petro science. After 6 years of eating said $hit burgers, I pretty much begin to realize I made a massive mistake. After reading these posts which are often funny (only real reason I like to visit this site), my error in judgment is confirmed. I do hate all this PC $hit they shove down our throats. If you're g--, I really don't give a fucl<, You're a minority, again, no fucl< given. Microbreak, need I say more? What the fucl< is a microbreak, I sit at a goddamn desk! I guess I too am a pu$$y and don't have enough balls to leave. Or maybe I just like the paycheck, god knows I can't stand some of the people I work with. I miss going on field trips in college and camping out with the rocks. Smoking big fat joints with my colleagues and calling it an education. Oh well, release the trolls upon me. May my deadwood, butt hurt a$$ be shown the door in the next ROM. I also hate all the bums downtown.

Later Keyboard Tigers!!!

To the last two morons who posted, here: I endured nearly THREE DECADES of crap from this outfit, and when I walked out, it was with enough dinero that I can live, VERY comfortably, for the rest of my life. That's the ONLY reason I stayed with it that long. I'm guessing YOU still need a job, so you may continue trying to fool yourself, and others, but we all know how truly foul and soulless an organization Chevron is. For having "taken" the crap for as long as I did, I believe I have every right to voice my thoughts, now. So, STUFF IT, cupcake!

I have been working for Chevron for quite a few years and I have worked for several other majors. Never have eaten Sh---burgers and don't plan to. I am perfectly happy with my position here, pay , benefits and bonuses and am completely aware of the effects of industry crashes, many which I have lived through personally and withstood. Just because you guys are all little sissies, cannot take the heat and feel the need to whine like babies doesn't mean that the majority of the company is like that. This forum is a collection of people who are just like you. A bunch of disgruntled losers who cannot accept adversity, challenges, criticism, hard work nor authority. Enjoy stewing in the hatred and vitriol with your own kind.

Mine was a long career with Chevron, following four (shorter, obviously) stints with independents (Tenneco, Grace, Belridge Oil, and Petro Lewis). My memories of the four independents? Exciting, challenging, rewarding, excellent people. My memories of Chevron? Rarely, if ever, exciting,... challenging, to the extent of avoiding the weasels,... rewarding, or I wouldn't have stayed,... some good folks, but mostly a lot of duds with various personality disorders. Am sooooooo happy to be rid of Chevron and all it's absurdity (LBGT, racial diversity, safety madness, etc.). Use this outfit for as long as you can stomach it, then, vaya con Dios. Good luck, MUCHACHOS!

I dont eat $hitburgers anymore and i am not retired. There's another satisfied Chevron $hitburger eater, who claims a CVX $hitburger is better than any of the others. It is sad to hear folks claim that eating $hit isn't that bad.

Well I have worked at many places and have eaten many $hitburgers in my long career. Don't expect your next one to be any better, in fact, I can assure you that it will most likely be worse. I know from experience. The only good one there is will be the one that you have at home after you are "FIRE".

Good description of Chevron. At least Chevron under the executive management of John Watson and his sycophant inner circle. Now, after this microbreak, let's all go down to the lobby for ice cream and cupcakes to celebrate another LGBT awareness day.

I am happy i resigned. Should have done it earlier. I guess when you eat a $hitburger and everyone around you is eating a $hitburger and talking about how good it is and how much better the Chevron $hitburger is than the other company'sh--burger, and you are getting paid a lot to eat a $hitburger, you can be convinced that what you are being fed daily isn't all that bad. In the end, $hitDonalds tries to make it financially impossible for you to leave the $hitburger line. When you do leave the $hitburger line it is easy to see how stupid you were to keep munching on $hit. The company is run by a gaggle of highly incompetent cowards who serve $hitburgers 3 times a day. Chevron served too much $hit for my taste.

Life is much better after Chevron. There are viable alternatives to working in a company that specializes in creating useless processes and metrics, and cannot do anything but create PowerPoint presentations. What an inept company it is. Yet they are the self-described Doers. Right, and I'm Usain Bolt in the 100 m.
