Status of the Houston Express these days?

With all the expat de-staffing in Angola, does Sonair's chartered World Air "Houston Express" still fly? If so, who flies it (other than Angolan elite on shopping trips and college student commutes during breaks?

Yes, I flew to Luanda 3 times on this charter flight. It was good in that it was the quickest way to get to Luanda, but other than expediency I cannot think of any other pros....old, uncomfortable aircraft, same menu fare every trip, never added new streaming video films, bored flight attendants. And dammed expensive fare compared to the commercial airline alternatives! I preferred to fly Delta via Paris.

CVX and contractors still fly it, usually the pax count is around 60-70.

When I left SASBU for the last time, SONAIR was still under contract to fly 3x per week regardless of number of passengers. Was pretty nice, I almost had my own flight upstairs attendant, if you know what I mean -:)
