TCO has a lot of acid gas also. Thank goodness that ExxonMobil is sending a bunch of qualified folks to the project. We do not have the project management or operating talent.
ExxonMobil needs to take over as operator at Gorgon. Failure after failure is unacceptable.
Also, it would be a futile effort for any ex-Chevron employee to go apply for a job at ExxonMobil. They already have a bad perception of Chevron and won't touch a single applicant out of an abundance of caution. Sorry, but true.

The story is consistent.....the union implemented there own evacuation after senior management refused to move any one from Borrow.....even as LEL alarms blurred. What happened to Chevrons tenants of operations?

The gas,leak was relatively large. Chevron at first refused evacuation saying the acid gas unit can't leak that much gas. WTF??? Then the head guy Nigel Hearne from the safety of video told everyone on the Island that things are fine. During question period the union demanded Nigel Hearne come to location or they evacuate themselves......of course they evacuated themselves off the island. (Chevron claimed they commenced the evacuation to save face). Now you have the rest of the story. I can't believe where my Chevron has gone. When you are hesitant to evacuate areas with off the chart LEL'S your at rock bottom. This would never have occurred a decade ago. It is obvious the new leadership is under extreme pressure to get gas flowing at all costs. You had hundreds of people in the alarmed LEL area that were told to stay put. All is safe. HORRIBLE. I got this info from a competent PM on the Island. Have you all heard the same?
