Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel millionaires? NO rcg millionaires for sure.

Lets's rub it in the RCG's face. I know quite of few 40+ ex Intel employees who are multi-millionaires. Post your success story here.

Face it RCG safe space brat, us older guys pulled the rug out from under you. If your lucky enough you might work at Intel for 2-4 years before you are fired. You won't be able to hang with the big dogs by a wide margin. You live in your parent's basement anyway, don't bother to move out.

Do you think you are smart because you post selfies on facecrack?

Multimillionaire checking in here.

Can confirm.

Millennial douchebags will never be as prosperous as we are. The death of Moore's law will have profound impact on our industry. Getting into computing at the end of Moore's law at the beginning of one's career is the worst thing to do. It will become analogous to aerospace. You need highly technically skilled engineers - just not a lot of them. The industry will never grow like it once did. The share of dollars will be smaller and then divided amongst a larger number of engineers.

Good luck with that! LOL! I'm going for a ride in my Porsche now.

Those in the 50s are the lucky ones, got big retirement from intel, got ERP/VSP golden parachute, got skills that are valuable.

RCGs poor, they got nothing, worthless stock and a company going BK'd, and no chance in hell of retiring at the company.

RCGs plan well, the chances Intel survive are a snowball in hell probability

LOL.. The old fart OP appears to be really jealous of quick-learner RCGs replacing the old rotten huge-butt farts. Hey old monkey, RCGs are not just posting pics on facebook or playing with xbox. That's the way we enjoy - we don't follow your way of killing time by lamenting about the good old days when gas price was just $1 a gallon. We live in a connected world where social networking and mobile are an integral part of life. It might not be the same for you, as you are very old to even understand what these are. The type that needs help even to withdraw cash from an ATM. Dumb-asses like you have the thought that you are the best. If you still believe so, tell me - did you have any role in developing the cpus, ssds, nics, motherboards or anything at intel? You might be a part of a parasitic cost center and taking credits for someone else's effort - without even knowing who the person or team that came up with the cpu is. Go work for some f---ing walmart or price club you useless old rotten fart.

Most of the richness gained from intc in the 90s was lost when the tech bubble burst.

anybody who is 50+ and worked 25+ years should be a multimillionaire. If not, then they were not savvy with their money.....Their SERP alone should be pushing 1mil. Big indicator is zero pension in their account. QED

Any RCG "rubbing it in" is a moron. You should be hoping that you live to be older, and things are not going to get any better for you by then. You're laughing at others while you skip through the graveyard, my friend.

If I were an RCG I'd be pushing for actual long-term employee benefits and a focus on the best products that we can make. Not this diversity BS or the conversion of the buildings into Ikea warehouses.

The golden age was the 90s. I think all the millionaires who rode intel stock are all in the upper 50s. Everyone else are just beast if burdens for BK. I do feel for the RCG as the chances of retiring at intel are nil with the way it is being lead down the toilet at the moment .

@-blm: " US companies....value talent more than diploma or social origin". Talent is subjective, to someone else you might not be so valuable. Maybe you should not be as happy, this is an indication that there is something wrong with the profession, companies, or the institutions that grant these diplomas. Professions like doctors, attorneys, accountants, etc, have strong requirements and standards regarding diplomas, along with real professional organizations; does this mean something? The stakes with tech companies are too high, too much money to be made, so "talents" with no real knowledge or skills can climb higher and that's how you see imbeciles managing you....

-blm poster. Golden post! Intel is a vicious dog eat dog environment. One slip up and you will be immediatly pounced upon and career destroyed. If you are a good kind person you are great target for those with no ethics. It's truly sad..

Sad comment, it shows how this layoff is so massive that it makes people go against each other instead of sticking together, you should be ashamed. No surprise an US company can do massive layoffs without facing any major contestation in its own country. United State of Corporations... I always say that I'm happy to work for an US company, cause they pay well and value talent more than diploma or social origin, but I'm so happy not to work actually in the US when I read most of the posts!

I hear you OP! These new RCG's are a dumb bunch. I gotta admit that the young women these days are far more intelligent than the young men. Best advice is to avoid hiring all young men. These young guys are easily insulted by something called microagressions.

They will never experience the days of massive stock price increases and stock splits. That sucks because I don't think any of us like seeing Intel go stagnant.

And the lie about 6 figure salaries is quite funny. You might be able to clear 100 grand working 7 days a week, 18 hour shifts. Then the IRS takes most of thay away.

Go look at the stock price charts, flat for 16 years. Do an overlay chart with GOOG or AAPL, massive stock price increase. It's a sad sight to see but AAPL or GOOG could buy all of INTC for cash.

haha 😂

@OP TROLL dude you sound bitter about being let go !!! 😂

Get over it and try to get another job outside Intel if you think you are EMPLOYABLE !!

You people let go were hired decades ago began with lower salaries than the current new hires that join with 6figure salaries. Keep on dreaming about being millionaire 😉 U wouldn't be here moaning and crying if you were one. Rather you would be glad to be rich and be out there enjoying this long weekend ?
