I recently was at a Tire-A-Rama for Sears. It's a day where the suppliers come together and tout their brands for those who work in the automotive department of Sears. Hankook was noticeably absent from the show. Hankook makes our signature series tire, The Roadhandler. When asked about Hankook, we were told that they simply could not make it. We were told that the Diehard Tire would be in our stores soon and this would be the tire of the future for Sears Auomotive. With a top price of $160 or so it's clear that it is another crappy Korean tire like Radar or Patriot . We were also told, in no uncertain terms, that we should stop talking among ourselves and especially to customers about the demise of Sears.

for 10 yrs I have said that SHC is stealing from employees. yes, in any way they can.
Hankook Tires is smart. They see the writing on the wall. Why would they want to waste the time and effort to produce tires for Sears and not get paid? Sears does not have the money to pay. They are trying to get something for nothing. Trust me, this is how the game is played in the industry.
