First of all, I want to wish everyone here a wonderful 4th of July Independence day! I drove from Westheimer at Dairy Ashford to downtown Houston. I then drove all the way down Louisiana, turned around, and dove back down Smith street. I saw a total of 6 flags of the USA on display. The Chevron skyring had nothing, yet the rainbow banner is displayed for gay pride day. Not to single out Chevron, because no other businesses had flags out that I actally saw. This is a truly sad commentary on what has become of this country. I guess that displaying the American flag on this day is not politically correct and would offend too many people, or maybe too many people just don't care anymore. I think it is too much allegiance to multiculturalism and globalism and not enough to nationalism, regardless of who you are. I am very happy to be here and not some 2nd or 3rd rate sh-- hole that does not have the freedoms, liberties or opportunities that are here.

Who are you, -2bkw, the grammar police? I hate it when all someone focuses on is the grammar. After all some employees of CVX are laborers, like operations and such. You can't expect them to be Rhodes scholars.

A few days ago, there was an excellent post under "There are no other boards rife with petty children, hateful bigots and bitter employees/ex-employees like the Chevron board." with advice on troll management. In summary, just ignore trolls..they have nothing original to contribute. Replying to their rants is just a platform for additional trash-talk.
No doubt @IdgSk4w will have more insults to dish...also under the banner of anonymity he bashes others for. At least man up and give yourself a pseudonym (something like "Tommy Troll") so its easy to amass all the rants as coming from the same person.
And as for your expected round to me, "Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me". LOL
@IdgSk4w-1gan, Let's get a few things straight, Douche-bag. I am not a laid off Chevron person or Chevron employee at all. I have a good well-paying job that I love. This is a public site. Anyone can post here, even spineless cowards posting anonymously who are about to get cut from CVX, which is the reason you are here. There are no website rules or content rules. Get used to it, get a life, and prepare to be $hit-canned shortly. You can thank Obummer and Killary for that, not CVX.

Thank Obarrassment. Michelle Obama once said that she has never been proud of her country before up until Barack was elected. Sure, that's a nice sentiment, I guess, as hyperbole. But think about it. That's the mentality of who we are putting in office these days. Idiots from who knows where who are not proud patriots. they simply want to change America to suit their own needs, wants and desires.
And you guys wonder why there is not enough widespread patriotism left to even be manifested by the display of American flags on Independence day? Hell, that's the least of the problems for this country which is being overrun by liberal progressives who would rather redistribute YOUR wealth today, reward incompetence, and punish success, than secure the American dream for generations to come.
Immigrants might find the American flag offensive. It is not PC to fly it.
@pql, if the Mexican people haven't showed you the respect you want, then refuse to hire them to do any work for you. Don't ever hire a Mexican crew to cut your grass, trim trees, replace the roof, pour a cement driveway, dig a ditch, tile a floor, paint your house, or Christ... not even serve you a taco. Here in south Texas, especially Houston, you'll have a hard time getting anything done. I have the opposite experience. I never met a Mexican who ever refused to give me their best work. They are some of the very most talented and hard working people. To me, they've always been respectful, polite, honest, and hard working. Maybe because I've showed them the same respect they deserve.
