Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

For you guys who were laid off at Intel. Not many companies pay you a separation package after laying you off.

Inwas at Dell and Micron and neither of them payed me a package after laying me off. So be great full and move on. And sure not many companies do that. So what you were in the bottom of list of performers . you guys should move on and find a company that can take your talent and make use of it.

You are the cream of the crop left at Intel....that is funny. They are in deep trouble if you are what is left. Being able to write a coherent sentence should be a job requirement, but obviously mediocrity is what Intel has achieved.

BKM for leaving Intel:

  1. Decide you want to leave

  2. Wait for the next "package" to come along - and take it.

There will be more packages . . ..

Lots of old white hags thinking its their birth right to retire at a company even though they are slow and outdated.

Every company offers layoff package. Some companies not so great packages as others.

OP is clueless tr0ll.

Great full OP??no wonder you've been laid off of every job you've had.

If OP wasn't ignorant and had seen JP's performance whiteboard he wouldn't have made such an inane post.

The layoffs had a loose correlation with performance, and a perfect one with older age. The former was used to justify things, the latter was reality. I foresee another "high tech lawsuit" type action at some point in the future.

I wasn't a bottom performer. I was top notch. But I was old, OP. And, oh, that's 'grateful' not 'great full'. Sheesh/

OP is wrong on many levels. I know that Dell offers packages, though maybe not as nice. And the people let go weren't "low performers", they were simply the oldest.

I got laid off during recessions. But thank you. I have over 20 years of exp and Intel hired me. Because I am better than the average 20 years guy in Intel.

I see this as divorce, they do not like each other, not a fit that is. Do not call anyone "bottom/bad", they see you are bottom also. Everyone deserved best. Please do a good job for the separation, you can not hold other's money and ask them show appreciation. And take care.

Hey OP. Looks like Intel took you after you got laid off twice! We are hiring people who are at the bottom of the list of performers at other companies while kicking our own experienced folks out. Good job to the hiring decisions which will unfortunately sink Intel.

Bottom of the list of performers? That is the picture that the VPs want to cast. Please take a look at the current VPs performances which is leading the company keep on losing billuons of dollars by bad decisions. So who is at the bottom list of performers?
